Flashing HMD Barbie Phone

It looks, from the PostmarketOS wiki, like lots of HMD phones and other KaiOS phones can be flashed with ROMs. I've been looking at the HMD Barbie flip phone, because it's cute and it'd be ridiculous and fun to run mobile Linux on it.
Has anyone else tried unlocking this thing's bootloader and flashing it? I'm hesitant to buy one without knowing beforehand if it's an option.
